The Canary and Linnet would like to welcome our new Chef-Mark Woods. Mark has already brought new fresh ideas and we will be 'bringing them to light', over the next few weeks. So much to look forward to but with Christmas and New year thrown in the mix, there are a lot of things to prepare and organise. We will keep you updated.....
Anyway, back to Mark. Head Chef for many years has agreed to board our ship and join our crew. So far so good, he has returned back here after his two days off so we couldn't have been that bad to work with during his first week.
In another life, Mark is an accomplished author and currently has few books published. Mark is a mystery because he has some in his own name, a few published short stories and others in a pseudonym name and all based in Norfolk. Mark also has more books in the pipeline which no doubt we will be able to keep you updated. At the moment, I think we have taken his mind off writing as he currently making jellies for young diners and the Thai fishcakes for the new menu.

Mark has a great sense of humour and thinks that we are joking when we say that we will be doing book signing sessions after customers have eaten their meal that he has cooked for them. Either that, customers will be queuing outside our kitchen door before entering the restaurant.
Joking aside, we are chuffed to bits to have Mark as part of our team at The Canary and Linnet and to actually be able to call an author, Our Chef.
